Nit

Nit

A nit is a term that refers to someone who plays a very narrow (or tight) selection of hands and is very unlikely to place or call bets without a high level of confidence that they are ahead in the hand.

Example: Red is such a nit, the regulars walk all over him. Bet and he folds, raise and he folds. If he ever bets or calls it's time to disappear.
