Limit holdem

Limit holdem

A form of holdem where a limit is placed on the bet sizing on each street, and usually only 4 bets/raises can be made on any street. Bet-sizing is usually of the form 1xBB (big blind) on the flop and pre-flop and 2xBB on the turn and river.

Example: In limit 1-2, the small blind will be 50c, big blind $1, and the bet/raise sizes will be $1 pre-flop and flop and $2 on the turn and river.
