A term coined by David Skalnsky in his book Theory of poker.
The Gap concept
basically means that you need a better hand to call
than the hand you need to open raise
The difference between the hand range
for raising and the hand range
raises is the gap
Example: Is AJ in the CO a good hand ?
It is a good hand to open raise with but a bad hand to call a raise with
