Chase

Chase

The decision to call bets and stay in the hand when the player likely does not have the best hand, in the hope of improving the hand on later streets.

The advisability of chasing depends on one's pot and implied odds as well as the ranges of the other players in the hand.

Example: "He chased me down to the river and caught his ace."
