Big Blind

Big Blind

In any texas hold em game, and in several other poker variants, player's will alternate posting the small blind and big blind. (Mainly referred to as bb.) In ring games, these values are constant and the big blind is usually about twice the small blind (some exceptions include games with a 10c and 25c blinds as well as games with $2 and $5 blinds). In these games a standard buy in is 100BBs. In tournament type games, players each start with a specific number of blinds, and the value of the blinds increases as the tournament progresses.

Example: I wanted to quit before I had to post my next Big Blind.
