also i wanted to post this hand

i get KK and its folded around to me in SB

i decide to play slow because the BB hasn't played a single hand, so i minraise and get called

flop comes Qd 2h 5s

i bet half he calls

turn 4d

at this point is a check ok?

i bet half pot again and get minraised

i RRAI because im not good at poker and he flips Q2

As played: im thinking bet more on turn and fold to raise? that seems stupid tho...

Hand 1) Don't show results as they skew responses (I edited it). I am assuming this is a satty into a bigger event. I am not much of a satty player, but I would think this is close given stack sizes. I think it's either a push or fold and I wouldn't fault either play (but I might be way off on saying the push is fine).

2) You played KK tricky to try and maximize value and got coolered. I might just call the minraise rather than get it all-in, but I don't see how u r getting away from this hand.

hmmmmmm

it's still close. 14xBBs and even without antes you are increasing your stack by over 10% just by stealing the blinds. But it's also only 66. If you get called it usually means u r crushed - at best u r racing against AQ/AK. I would much rather you open fold this and keep your good resteal stack than raise/fold and force yourself into solely push/fold.

1) push/fold and I agree it's pretty close, you can't really go wrong. KE has a shove chart that stops at M=8, with 8M no antes 3 off the BU they say shove 44+. It's kinda hard too because there is probably some payout impact we should look at (chart assume we are far from money).

Hand 2) without stack sizes it's hard but I can't see folding here without a 4 monotone board or something.

i guess another factor is how confident you are that you can get a much better spot later on?

ps. open fold means the same thing as limp right?

and if so, does that mean we're folding to someone behind who raises it up to 3BB's? if not, then it should just be called open!!!111

I fold the 66 hand. From later position I'd raise and go with it all the way most of the time.
