| In a fricken heartbeat. Even if he has an A with a higher kicker you still have a great shot at splitting the pot (unless he has AK or AQ). |

| He min raised the flop ... 8 is not out of the question. Min raised with a A higher kicker? Maybe A 8 ... Would it be ok to throw down 800 on the flop ???? Or push all day ... every day? |

| I'm checking trying to make sure I get my chips in and can pick off a cont bet. Certainly you aren't folding here. |

Slow playing/trapping is certainly an option here. In this case I would push because people tend to be overly aggressive in the first couple of heads up hands, which may make this look like a steal attempt.
I can certainly see the value in check/raising though if you think your opponent will bet. |

| What is the value of the push? HU I'm not too worried about the flush draw and I expect him to lead here. The problem with flat push is you're typically only going to be called by another A, which you may or may not be ahead of. Check lets you pick up chips from any hand. It may LOOK like a steal, but surely you aren't saying you expect a call from K high or 66? |

Finally, someone with some reason. Fasin8ting, this was my reason for you to seperate this hand from your other post. |

i think a push gets called by any pp half the time.
when you push this board, it does not actually LOOK like you really have an ace. |

| if opp has a PP, you're saying he's more likley to call the push than lead himself? That just doesn't make any sense. He's drawing to a two outer if worst case he checks behind, and then you actually have disguised your hand for your turn push. |

| If opp has a pp and DOESN'T lead out, he certainly isn't going to call a push, unless he is trying to trap you. |

What does it look like ? An eight?? right.. So if I had any PP .. Iam not calling that broke ass flop. I dunno.. man.. I think I pick better spots with the blinds @ 400 and 800 .. My M is still at 10 .. and I dont even think its good enough to risk with any PP JJ and below.. anything above that Id be pushing to start with. I mean .. holding an ace on that flop you hope he has an ace for a split. Dude pulled these quads out his rear. Tough one.. I look back now and think a check raise... fold to an all in would be fine. However; with another 8 .. I couldnt lay down a boat.. I go broke with this hand.. And I did.. |
