I'm always of a mind not to chase early on in the game. Especially with K/X suited (Someone always seems to have the A/X suited against me.), but damn it just hurts sometimes. What's funny is that Word28 wound up coming back to take 3rd place. I was okay though as I would take second place in this tourney. It just pains me to know how much I could have made on that one hand. Crying or Very sad

Would anyone else have done anything differently? Fnord? Mike?

That's a good fold pre-flop. Yes, you can be looser early in tourneys when blinds are small, but not that loose. I'm probably not playing that hand from the button with everybody limping in front of me let alone open limping it from mid-position. Small blind completion with several limpers? Sure, that I'll do that with K2s.

Every once in a while you fold a hand that you know you should fold yet isn't total crap and then have to watch it hit the dream flop and get a ton of action. It sucks, but you know you made the right play pre-flop, so just shake it off Wink

There are a ton of times playing smart stinks.

This is one of millions.

Good fold, sorry about the flop.

Thanks guys. I thought it wasn't that expensive to at least see the flop. But I was always told that why waste two bets when you wouldn't pay one from a certain position.

Like you said Humph. One in a million. Confused Go figure. Still made $30 bucks. A couple hands later I knocked off two with cowboys. Cosmic justice I say.

good fold for fyrfytr (as much as it hurts Sad ) based on his position, but i disagree with dr no's hypothetical scenario. from the button without much fear of reraise, AND a ton of limpers, i'd definitely play kx suited for 30 chips. if you hit, the implied odds are huge, and if not (which you likely won't) it's easy to get away from.

in an SNG, i think you have to be a tad looser just because you have a limited time-frame to make something happen.

Yeah that was a total positional fold on my part. I wold have called the 30 on the button or cut off.
