UTG = Under the Gun, the first person after the blinds. First person to act pre-flop and third to act after the flop if the blinds play.
UTG+1 is the one after
UTG+2 the one after UTG+1
MP1 = Middle Postion, just after UTG +2
MP2 = like above
MP3 = like above
CO = CuttOff seat, not sure why it's called the Cuttoff but its just before the Button
The Button = The dealer button, the very last player to act on almost all rounds of betting apart from Pre-flop which is closed by the blinds unless they raise.
Just to clarify BB has two meanings Big Blind and Big Bet. Taking $2/$4 as an example
SB Small Blind = $1
BB Big blind = $2
BB Big Bet = $4
When people say BB/100 or BB/hour they are usually talking about Big Bets
My question isn't listed
You are welcome to ask any question. But a lot of questions have already been asked. Check out the search feature at the top of the screen. If you think you're question is common, chances are, we already have the answer for you.
How much money should I have?
In limit, you need to have 100 - 200X the big bet. If you want to play $1 / $2 limit, you need to have between $200 and $400 in your online account. (preferably closer to $400)
To play No Limit games you need to have 20X the max buy in.
You need at least $500 to afford to play at the $25 no limit table.
For SnGs (Sit and go's / single table tournaments) you need to have 20X the buy in. You need $110 to play in a $5 + $0.50.
How long will it take to be good at this game?
Your entire life.
Go ask Phil Ivey or Gus Hansen if they know everything about poker. If they are honest, they will tell you no. As they say on World Poker Tour. “Texas holdem takes a minute to learn and a lifetime to master.”
Fnord's 5 simple rules toward better poker

2) Honest self-assement. Keep records. PokerTracker helps.
3) Play tight
4) Pump it or dump it
5) Leave when you're tilting.
