for the month of june i am sticking to 20$ tourneys, i will update this post with my progress every once in a while and let you guys know how its going. I made an excel spreadsheet with formulas so it does everthing for me,
this is as of midnite of the 5th, I've only played 4 hours of poker, really cutting back lately. after 3 days i was at 130$ us per hour, but just lost about 70$ so my stats went down a bit, If the other dude is doing the 20$ tourneys for this month wants to post his stats on this thread that would be cool too. get a couple different perspectives.

Hope it goes well fishstick, if you want me to post any of my stats from last month, feel free to ask. /pt ad In pker tracker, you can set up filters to analyse your play on the bubble or within the first 10-7 and heads up.
Dude, buy this program it will pay for itself, also the less hours you spend on Excel, the more time you play poker, the more you earn.
At those rates, within 2 weeks PT would have paid for itself, not including the leeks you can fix. |

i'm at 7 $20 SNG's, 4 4th or 5th finishes, 1 1st and 2 2nds.
so up $68, running about $15/hour. (my lifetime, errrr, which goes all the back to april for $20 SNG's is about $18/hr)
happy with my play so far - the 4th and 5ths have been due to horrible cards (% flops seen in these games ~10%)
this is funny: yesterday's tourney down to 6 players, BB is 100
-knocked down to 150 by A6 all-in to my raise with AJs (he caught a 6 on the flop).
-clawed my way back up to 400.
-i'm the BB (BB now at 200) with j4 offsuit.
-i go all-in and get 4 callers.
-flop is rag 44 - yeah!
-i come back and take 2nd place
i'll keep you guys posted.
good cards to both off you as well. |

max - you'll love this:
last night, $20 SNG, the very first hand, i'm the BB with Q2d. 8 callers, i check, the flop is all diamonds T and under. so i bet 120 thinking everyone will fold, and i get not one but two all-in raises!
so, i think, hmmm, i'm vulnerable to the A or K of diamonds, and one of the raisers probably has the A or K, BUT, if you had the nut or near nut flush, why go all-in (i didn't)??? hmmm, so i put both of them on a diamond each and call.
no more diamonds fall and i triple on the first hand! i was right, one had the A and the other had the J. interesting raises on their part.
so, i'm thinkin' i'll cruise into the money. NOT. we get down to 4, and the other three are solid players and we stay at 4 players for the next 25 minutes! the BB is up to 500 and threatening our stacks, we're all at ~2000 chips just stealing and trading chips back and forth, and no one's going out. i almost got bubbled a couple of times.
finally, i catch AA, smooth call someone's blind steal, get him all-in, and take him out. i take #3 out a few hands later, and now it's my 6000 chips to #2's 2000. i put him all-in every hand, and finally drain his chips, and take 1st! the win was certainly good for my june numbers.
it was so grueling, i think if we could have, the four us would have split the prize money.
hope it's going well with you. |

how is it playing two at a time - are you able to give them both the attention they need, especially when it gets down short handed?
don't worry - your hourly/ROI is solid and you are beating the game. down to 3 players - there really is a lot of luck involved. when it's heads up i think a little luck + a lot of aggression = more 1st places.
good job. |

Maxx, I dug up this thread because I started playing $10 SNGs at PP exclusively over the past couple weeks.. (I had been getting burned big time in the ring games and needed a break).
I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I've played about 30 SNGs and my profit is about $90, which averages out to about $3/tournament. If I can make it to 50 then I'll try to post my stats here if they're not too embarrasing.
Looking at your stats and per hour rate, I assume you would play two tournaments at the same time? |

yeah 2 tourneys t a time i start them at the same time, gets a little intense when you get down to about 3 or 4 on both tables, but thats half the fun. good luck man i would love to see some other stats on this, i think september i will do the sng thing again, and i will post my result i am basically hoping to average 25$ canadian per hour playing 2 20 sngs
if i can do that i will be very very happy |
