This brought me down to 60 chips, or 0.6 bb, i somehow managed to go on and win the tourney. Obviously i had to get very lucky to do this, but it just goes to show that you can still win as a short stack if you have patience and don't tilt off the very small remainder of your chips.

Of course, all you need is a chip and a chair.

I came back from 0.25 BB to win a SnG once.

Anything can happen! Razz

Seems like I cannot win anything lately. Sad

It's been like this for 4 days now.

Congrats on the win though!

Two hundred sit and goes without a win?!

Are you playing multi table SnGs or what?

I'm sorry, but I fail to believe that you haven't won a SnG in 200.

You should clarify this. Even if we're talking 100 table MTTs, you should atleast be making an active effort to improve.

I usually play the $2.00 or 4.00 20 person tables. I have had my fair shair of 2nds and 3rds but when it comes to heads up I seem to chase at the wrong time. Like last night I had K/a OS on the FLOP I get a 8/3/Q all OS. SO I try and buy the pot and all in, he calls. He shows me pocket Kings. Usually during the main portion of the games I play a very tight game almost too tight. Then once I hit the money portion I play balls out. I amnot to sure how accurate the history is in Pacific this morning it is showing only 24 games in my history. I am thinking I screwed up and must have hit a game and was looking at the hand history when I seen 200. But I know I have played more than 24 SnG. That just shows me back to friday night. If I had to make a guess I would have to say 75ish games would be more accurate. During the week I only play one or 2 at the most in the eves. The last 2 weekends I went hard. I am very new here and will find a good playing style yet. Iwill continue to read the forums and play

Very nice. Just last night (well, early this morning) I was playing a qualifier for a $200+$15 MTT on Party. With about 70 left (21 spots won entries), I was top 5 in chips. My AKo ran into TT and I was left with about 1500 chips with blinds 300/600. I tripled up a couple hands later, but I never again for the rest of the tournament won an all-in. I stayed within 4500-6000 chips for the rest of the tournament, stole a couple blinds here and there, and almost bubbled. I finished 21st. Very Happy

If you have played 200 SnG's and didnt win won, well then you need to either do one of 3 things.

1.) Quit poker
2.) Change Formats
3.) Learn more about poker

Ya I get ITM and then get betting stupid. Someday I will get more serious. But as long as I make my money back I am happy. Last night I got triple my entry so I was very happy and that was only a $20 pay out for 4th in a 20 person SnG 8+.80 table. I tried to bluff at the wrong time. It was actually funny as hell
Blinds where 200/400
I had 4/7 OS and I was BB everyone folded except the SB he called on the flop was 3/A/9. SB checked so I thoguth I would play a strong raise(all in) and bluff that I had an Ace or 2 under. He called my raise and showed me pocket Aces...LMAO. That is my problem I am not a smart bluffer. I was short stacked and running ot of time. Got desperate

well after a few 2nds and a few 4ths I went into a $10+1 1 table SnG at Pacific and I actually won. Feels good. Been following a few guide lines posted in the forums and been learning. Thanx to everyone that takes the time to write them.

You play long enough, and this happens... Poker is a streaky game. And when you're running cold, it's a downward spiral.

COngratulations. If you've managed to break even across 200 SNGs, you're doing Okay.

Figure it this way: A ten person SNG pays 3 people... that means that roughly 70 percent of players are losers, no?

Just my luck 10/K OS raise 4 times the BB one caller flop is 3/7/10 so I go all in. He calls has 10/A OS better kicker than me..LMAO. Guess that was not very tight of me was it. Better luck next time I guess.

Jade give us more information about this hand. What were the stacks and blinds and positions. If the blinds were still moderate and you had a sufficient stack that doesnt sound that good a play. Perhaps it is time for you to post a HH from one of your SnGs for some advice and to plug some leaks in your game..

Ya the HH I was gonna ask that question. How do you pull thiose on Pacific. I do not have the software that alot of plp have and I am not to sure how to pull HHs manually... I will look around Pacific and see if I can print them out.

This guy loved to call in position with marginal hands and try to push people off pots, i had also check raised him atleast once earlier (it was a while ago i'm not quite sure) and i felt he was getting fed up with it. The reason it was only a bit of a beat was because he had 10 outs, which makes it about 60/40 fo me to win. So altough i was ahead, it wasn't by a huge margin, and i guess it wasn't really even a bad beat at all.

sounds like to me you're going AI too much...and 10/K os isnt a good hand, not even worth limping in early position or middle position for that matter...the only time i can see playing this hand is in late position, and possibly a raise on the button with only the intention of stealing the pot, not seeing a flop
