Here's a hand from the final table of a 4-man Heads-Up Shootout:
Basically I've been the more aggressive player all game, raising PF generally with probably my top third of hands and C-betting good boards like K95 and taking down the vast majority of these small pots, and he's given called me down with middle pair when I've had top pair, so he's definitely suspicious and is dying to catch me out. He's just playing quite nitty, and calls rather than raise if he's suspicious of my betting, making it pretty easy to second-barrel him off his hand a lot of the time.
Thanks to my aggression I'd maintained the chiplead for the whole match.
He's beginning to put me on face cards every time I PFR, so I threw him a changeup:
Full Tilt Poker Game #3949873728: $5 + $0.40 Heads Up Shootout (30045138), Table 1 - 50/100 - No Limit Hold'em - 1:58:02 ET - 2007/10/24
Seat 1: johnnyluke (2,280)
Seat 2: eugmac (3,720)
eugmac posts the small blind of 50
johnnyluke posts the big blind of 100
The button is in seat #2
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to eugmac [6c 5s]
eugmac raises to 300
johnnyluke calls 200
*** FLOP *** [2h 8d 5c] I only have second pair here, but there aren't many hands in his PFR calling range that include an 8.
johnnyluke checks
eugmac bets 400 I dutifully put in a standard-looking C-bet
johnnyluke calls 400 He probably thinks I haven't hit
*** TURN *** [2h 8d 5c] [4s]
johnnyluke bets 600 Blank turn, it might be safe to take a shot at the pot
eugmac raises to 3,020, and is all in |

i dont really like. you're pretty much semi bluffing, but imo he's never folding better hands to this raise.
since its wa/wb and with pos id just call the turn, and judge a river call or raise by card, timing, and bet size. plus if he made 2 pair here you have major suck out potential. |

| Totally unrelated to this thread but I just remember one of the best quotes about levels. It was from ActionJeff in one of his vids, he loses a hand to another good player whom he recognizes and he says something along the lines of "so-and-so was a level ahead of me there....or two levels behind" |

| This is also slightly unrelated but what does C-bet stand for? And is there anywhere with maybe a list of abbreviations and terms? |

9 times out of 10 you are WAY behind here.
In a $5 game 99% of the people just don't think deeply. |

| this is a $5 shoot out, I think this is totally too fancy for these stakes. This bet only gets a worse hand to fold, and anything better isn't folding to your aggression. plain and simple. |
