Second hand on the table, I had just played a hand where I semi-bluffed with a draw, hit it, got paid, and a guy got mad at me Very Happy

I suspected this guy saw the previous hand and thought I was semi-bluffing again, or maybe he has a set or two pair and is just trying to bust me.

This guy had a huge chip stack, I might have played this too passively. The two barrels, being fairly big, kinda forced me into thinking I was facing a set.

If I put him on top pair, should I have shoved the turn? Why If he shoved the river? easy fold? Am I pot committed after the turn bet/call?

The river is a fairly safe card; you just drew out on two pair so you're only worried about a set.

But what are your reads?

Bet closer to $1 on the flop. I don't hate turn that much, but if I call I'm shoving that river for sure.

I may be wrong here but i think IMO that with that flop if you was facing kk you would have been reraised on the flop, So IMO 77 is the only set card I would be afraid of. with your preflop raise. If you had any kinda read at all on this player and can eliminitate 77 out of his preflop raise call than I would reraise on the flop. But i maybe wrong as you can tell from my bankroll i am just beginning.

Unless you've got a longer history with him than that and are hyper-aggressive, I'd bet that river for value. He gave up the chance to value bet his boat. It really seems like an overplayed tp hand or a 2 pair hand that hated that river, but might have to pay off a reasonable bet.
