| Check this out, I usually go to the casino and play 2/4 for anywhere from 4-6 hours. I'll get dealt AA about once every five times i go. Today within about 15 in i got dealt KK twice and AA twice within like 10 hands. I raised and reraised everyhand preflop. My AA got beat by 2 7 offsuit because they got 2 pair on the turn and river, then got beat by 9 5 offsuit catching 2 pair on the river. Then my K's got broken up by Q 6 off getting a 6 on the flop and a Q on the river. Then to top it off my other K's got beat by 10 7 off suit to catch the inside straight on the river! Never seen such good cards get cracked so fast by crappy cards. That why i cant stand this low limit sometimes! |

Not even close.
2/4 online (a tighter game)
AA at two tables at once, both cracked. AA again within a couple minutes, cracked. One of 'em was a set too.
This stuff happens when you play enough hands. Nothing exceptional about it. |

If I posted everytime I lost to a <5 outer on the river Id have more posts than anyone else. It happens, just sucks when you bust out of a tournament because of it.
Last tourney I played I played a set to perfection, pushed after the turn, got called by top two pair, he hits what was a two outer, because 2 of his FH outs were already in the muck, and I bust out.
Cant believe it at the time but it happens to everyone, and I played the hand right. Next time the cards will fall me way. |

This wasn't even a bad beat...but it was my A/A gettin cracked.
Blinds were 100/200 and we had 4 people left. I raised 350 (we play with a pretty conservative bunch). I got one caller.
Flop came A/2/K. I figured to myself, sweet...Ill slow play it, build a trap, and squeeze some more money out of this.
Turn came Q. I heard him say "Im all in." I thought about it......and thought about it.....and thought about it. I don't know what drove me to call, but I did.
I said to him "You have J/10, dont ya?" He just responded "Yup." River was a rag.
It was probably a stupid call, because 95% of me knew he was holding that straight...which left me only 10 outs to make the board pair and give me a boat. But oh well, lesson learned...slow playing sucks, and know when to fold. |
