Bought in at step 2. Well actually I had to buy in there twice. The first time I advanced to step 3 and promptly busted out in 10th on the first hand when I got JJ UTG and had a guy call my 250 raise with 45o (Flop came 876).
So I bought back in and went throgh the steps something like this: 2-3-3-3-4-5. I had Rada over my shoulder for step 4 (My god it was fun punishing them like that), and had both Rada and Soupie (and a few others) helping out with the step 5. It's a little stressful having two people who's opinions you respect so much making opposite suggestions for the same play, but very cool none the less. |

From the reaction of the other folks at the table... it seems to be my maniacal style at the end that's working for me. Lots of aggression, lots of stealing... catching a couple hands. On the final table people were starting to get frustrated and would push all-in over top of me. That got me to fold a bunch... but eventually I would catch something and take them out, making all my money back and more.
I won't lie... I've had a great amount of luck too. Overall though, reads and aggression have been working wonders. I'll try this one again on Wednesday....

UB $5 freezeout - 331 players
1st place, $413
My first mtt win ever. First MTT I've played in a long time too. Decided to play while taking a break from NL ring. Worked out pretty well. |

13th in the 50,000 guaranteed re-buy/add-on at Paradise.
I didn't rebuy or addon and took home a little over $400.
Frustratingly close to major moola tho. Grrr. |

Rats... my winning streak in the 5k guaranteed is over. 6th place for $315 isn't too bad though. My last 5 results in this tourny... 6th, 1st, 1st, 1st, 6th. I was big stack again at the final table last night, but a really dumb call left me crippled.
2 WSOP qualifiers this weekend... I hope I'll be posting right after those!

2nd out of 277
$474.50 in a Ladbrokes $10+1 Freezout
pwned.
Had chip lead for most of the tourney. By 60 left had 10% of chips in play. Heads up lasted for about 40 mins. Had K/10, pushed on the flop of K9x, Villian calls all in, flips over K/4. Turn A, river A. Split. damn.
After the break, lost concentration, tried to push him of his flopped nuts.
3rd final table for me, definately the best I've played in an MTT. |

My FIRST MTT win !!!!!
$15 buy-in at Pacific tonight - 500 people - $2,500
What a week - first Liverpool win the European cup, then I bag my first MTT. Must be something in the air
Got a huge chip lead early on (80-100 BB) and kept it right to the final table. Was great playing as the bigstack throughout, with everyone on my table imploring the dealer to move them or me off that table.
Thanks to everyone at FTR especially the regulars - you know who you are - couldn't have done it without all the help from this site. |

| Congrats. Popping that MTT cherry was a beautiful moment for me as well. But I'm finding it difficult to get that second one under my belt. |

| I made my first final table in a 10+1 freezeout at Stars! Got 9th for $207 in a field of 1385. I would've been able to get much further if my QQ held up against AK. Oh well. I know this is nothing special, but it was a major accomplishment for me, since this was my first ever MTT! I've never really had time to play them, so I focused more on SnG's and read lots of posts and Davsimon, Rada, and Rippys stickys. Without those stickys I wouldn't have come nowhere close to what I did. Just want to say thanks, and hopefully I can close one out in the near future! |

Thanks gabe & hubris. I feel like an idiot jumping around my house right now.
Should I post a summary, or just PM it?
