btw, since you seem bitter, heres a pill for you. i think you owe us St Louisans your super bowl trophy. we didnt set up fancy equipment on the sidelines/stands to steal any signals/formations. if your Pats cheated now, they were cheating then. Bellichek is a farce.

I'm older than younz. My favorites growing up in the "Burg" were Roberto Clemente, Willie Stargell, and Rocky Bleir (the only Vietnam Veteran in the NFL). Was and is the greatest sports town, bar none. Haven't missed watching a Steelers game in 20+ years I've been away, and whenever they come here to Miami to play the Dolphins, I'm there.

i must be a tweener here. too young for stargell, too old for rothlesberger (sp?).

hey Burgh Boy? how bout Bradshaw, Harris, Mean Joe, Swann? i'm still bitter over the trade that sent you Van Slyke for Tony "i spin in circles when i swing and WTF is with my catching sit....errr stance" Pena.

i'll bet you are the only silent Kordell "slash" Stewart fan left...right?

and one of the best coaches ever.....CHUCK KNOLL.

hows that for ass kissing? Shhh

Van Basten - what a player.

Ok, here's mine......... Warning! it's soccer..... Matt Le Tissier

My guess is that most in the US won't have heard of him but he's better than anyone you've ever seen.

What is with Pacers fans rooting for Michael Jordan and Chiefs fans rooting for Jerry Rice.

It's garbage, and the people who do it are garbage. Makes me wanna puke.

(just kidding) (kind of)

Here are some tasty Pacers throwbacks (and no, Jalen Rose doesn't count, you young punks):

Haywoode Workman
Vern FLEM-ing
Ricky Pierce
Eddie Johnson

That was early 90s version, let's go back further!

George McCloud (he sucked)
Detlef SCHREMPF! (remember Dan Patrick calling his highlights?)
Steve Stipanovich
Clark Kellogg (You gotta squeeze the orange!)

And before my time:

George McGinnis (a legend!)
Freddie Brown

are the "one-namers" all brazilian soccer players? i'm pretty sure Romario is.

and if you pay attention to south american soccer, i'm surprised i havent seen Diego Maradona. dont remember how his reputation panned out, though?

Yup. One-namers are south american, specially Brazilian.
About Maradona, he was a crackhead. He had some amazing goals though.

yeah, i thought i'd heard he was a "whack job, nutcase" with no credibility whatsoever, but wanted confirmation before i said it first. didnt want to call the wrong guy a jackoff.

people are nuts down there. i remember a couple guys have been shot in Colombia getting off the plane after a loss. people in america can go crazy over airport security all they want, but at least you dont have to worry about getting shot as you get off a plane.
