| Going to vegas for the first time this weekend and hyped about it. Staying at Harrah's but not sure if that is the best place to play. Which is the best/fishiest casino to be when in vegas? |

Venetian is excellent overall and has lots of tables of 1/2-5/10. The Wynn's cardroom looks great as well although I've never played there.
You will find the play at 1/2 laughable wherever you play so enjoy.
Where are you staying? |

Oh right, nobody said I could read.
Never played there only walked by to look at the room, from what I've heard its overrated and the staff are douches. I'd probably only play there if I was playing 10/20+ cause thats where all the high stakes action is. I would just play at the venetian or wynn since you're right in the middle of the strip. For 1/2 you can pretty much play anywhere though since there will always be a game and it will always be juicy. |

| Stayed/played at The Flamingo 3-4 times, they bring drinks as fast as you can drink 'em and players are pretty bad. |

Caesars has a 1/3 game that is relatively soft as long as you can wrap your head around the 3$ chip.
The Wynn/ Venetian are probably the tougher places to play since they are two of the more comfortable rooms, which regulars prefer.
I played at the MGM and the room is pretty much a hole in the wall, but the players were just terrible.
Contrary to what other posters have mentioned, I actually really enjoyed the 2/5 game at Bellagio. Some decent players here and there but on the whole nothing special. The staff treated my friends and I exceptionally well.
If you are going there in the next week or so, just go to the RIO... Wsop fish just can't be beat |

1/2, 1/3, etc. is good anywhere depending on the line-up of drunks, tourists and other such donators.
For 2/5 and above your best bets are the Venetian, Bellagio and Wynn as they have a steady stream of rich, loose money. Also, the Venetian cardroom is perhaps the best run card room in Vegas right now if you over-look the shortage of chip runners. |

| Fnord, you ever play 5/10 at the Rio during WSOP time? would it be worth it to cab there just to play cash or am I better off just staying at the venetian since I'm staying there? I imagine most of the online guys in town are gonna be playing there since they expect it to be good. |

| bellagio has no cup holders so it's much harder to get drunk/have drunks there vs Venetian. |

| Thought the MGM had a pretty soft 2/5 game, and I actually didn't mind the room except it gets a little loud with a nightclub right above it. |

Yeah, MGM and Ceasars also have good mid stakes action.
Outside of the WSOP, the Venetian and Bellagio are the most reliable.
If you can deal with cash on the table, shitty food and buying your own chips, Venetian gets just about everything else right in spades. |

What stakes?
They're pretty good about it when you are seated, but rebuys take forever. I would just buy a bunch of black and a couple racks of red after putting my name on the list to make things easier (I hate playing with bills.) In 2/5 and lower games it's just too hard to see how deep someone's playing when they have some bills and very few chips. For bigger games it's less of an issue. Also the 5/10 and bigger probably gets better service.
At my home casino they have chip carts on the floor and it takes seconds to get a rebuy and color-ups only take a couple hands to go through. |

1/2 & 2/5, I don't have much to compare to but rebuys didn't seem slow to me. Cocktails at 4 AM now...
I do agree with bills being annoying and pointless, I do not understand why they don't use the green/black chips more. |

| Green chips are AMAZING for 10/20 and lower. They should make 1/2 the buy-in green by default. Makes for smoother turn and river action. |

| I hope to be in Vegas for the wsop main event this year. thanks for the fishiest places advice. I love 1 2 NL I wish they had them in the San Jose casinos Garden City or Bay 101. Unfortunately, they don't but a couple hours away in Jackson or Thunder Valley offers it. |

| Checked out buncha card rooms and ended up playing at venetian about 95% of the time. Didn't play much but got my fill of the action +$1400 playing 1/2. It was packed almost everytime i went there so I just asked for table changes like 2 times when their werent so many donks at the table. Ez to table select at Venetian imo. N yea the bills on the tables are really really annoying! |
