Oh yeah, that thing I have none of...luck.
After a string of leaving 7 tournaments against 2 and 3 outers I finally hit the money again in three of four tournaments. Beginning of a turnaround.
Then tonight I get totally blasted. The most amazing player I have ever seen tonight at PP $10 SnG. Name something like llkSparta or something like that. After I was number 6 out of the game I stayed just to watch. The guy must have been allin 20 times in one SnG! Lucky as sin, too.
So the plan was to wait until I get a big hand and double up. Finally, AKs, all in against Sparta and he shows AJ. He spikes a J and wins. My tables tell me I should have been like a 74% favorite. That's how lucky this guys was over and over again. He took down the table like we were children.
Next table I wait then get AK utg so bet 3BB and another jerk goes allin on me. Like a dummy I call and he shows AA. End of my night. First out.
So much for my turnaround.
Another dumb experiment I tried and do not suggest anyone else follow my footsteps (as they ooze into the gray gummy muck). I decided to play SnG then take my winning to a ring game. Lost it all. I have never won a single hand at a ring game! Tuck those SnG winning away and play another day.
That's my sad blog for today. Any comments are appreciated because it is $o clear I am floundering. thanks |

| You may be right. I keep pushing it thinking I can power thru but that is not working. |

Yeah, I went through a really bad run about 3 weeks ago. I tried to work my way out of it, but it just burned me out on poker for a few days. It was like constant tilt for the entire time. After a few days I tried again and won some money in a ring game, won a two table $50 SNG, and my game has been great ever since.
Take time off, relax, go back to playing when you feel up to it. Your next win will make you feel all better. |

OK, so I really did follow thru on this and did not play a single game Sunday. Of course I read a poker book and played some Turbo Texas Tournaments...
I will take the time to write up an idea I have about dominance in Holdem and see if FTP is interested in posting it. |
