IMO you should have raised that flop bet.
As played fold. |

The flop bet, in my opinion, is a very close call between raise and call, because of all the people in the hand. The assumption of a raise on that flop is that the donker has a range that includes the king and draws, whereas the other players will fold out. But that's not usually true in this sort of multi-way pot-- the donker's range certainly includes the king and draws, but the other players may have been planning to check-raise or check-call with a king. The truth is that we are good less often than we'd like here.
I prefer the isolation/value-raise with an underpair much more when the pot was unraised pre-flop or where I am heads-up, because in that situation, I am not as worried / not worried about a check-raise or check-call with a hand that beats me.
I did fold the turn, and of course, the donker had Q9 and the caller had QJ. |

| i dont mind a call on the flop ONLY because the board is so dry. but, on the turn, we are caught between the best hand and another hand that beats us, imo. i bet we have two K's in here at least, and BB just hit his gin card. time to fold before we tie ourselves to the pot. |

We're basically in the same place with this hand. It's a yucky fold, and it turned out (results-oriented) to be a fold of the best hand, but 99.99 percent of the time, we're not good here. |
