| otherwise I would have lost my ass hard. I was playing at the HardRock Casino in Tampa, FL , and the table I was playing was pretty much a straight 8 Table, capped at $8 pf. So I'm sitting here, getting dealt 92os, 83os, 83c, 74os, and random cards like that. And 3 hands in a row, I see pocket rockets...and cowboys winning . So a few hands later, I'm sitting with $20 left, SB. Hero raises with AA, already telling the guy to my left I'm gonna get beat that I should fold my hand and let my blind go. MP1 re-raises, I have him read on KK or QQ. MP2 calls, MP3 caps it at 8. So I call. Flop comes, 7JT, rainbow. Ok, so I tell myself, no flush draws yet, only thing to worry about is someone with 89 or someone on a straight draw. Turn is another T. Now theres only Hero, MP1, MP3 left in the hand. Hero checks, MP1 bets, MP3 just calls, and ofcourse hero has to call with the rockets, already pot committed. River comes a 7. I'm already just shitting myself. Here I am all, night seeing rockets and cowboys dominating, yet when I have them as my hole cards, I get eaten alive. Hero and MP1 check, MP3 bets. Hero and MP1 call. MP1 reveals KK. I was right on my read, and was glad I had one person beat. I wait for MP3 to roll over her cards. I was expecting a J. But also in the back of my mind, I had her pegged on a 10. Well...I was half right..........yep....quads. She flips over her pocket 10s and just took down a hefty pot. I was already all in any ways. Oh well. Shit happens. Starting tomorrow, they will have $1/$2 NL and $2/$4 NL. I felt like a dick for causing a scene though. I mean, I guess you'd be upset seeing an old lady winning about 10 hands in a row, and you not winning one hand. I'm still a little bit pissed off about that flop. But oh well...now I know I won't feel so bad laying down aces... |
