Pre-flop:
wet-dreamer raises to 300. Gatorbait1960 calls.
KENNEDY7667 folds. TOCHESHEAD folds. nyc_all_in
calls.
Flop (board: Qs 2c 5d):
nyc_all_in checks. wet-dreamer bets 500.
Gatorbait1960 calls. nyc_all_in folds.
Turn (board: Qs 2c 5d Qc):
Gator has been quiet all tournament. Passive and tight. I put him on a midpair, 77 - JJ about 80%. But this basically puts me in a strange almost coinflip type situation where we are simply finding out which one of us has been situationally "bad beat".
Agreed? Is there any better way to avoid this?
And whats your play here? |

| I'd say check it. Try to see a cheap showdown, he could have KQ or QJ also, but I think if he has pockets then you have him beat. Most people reraise preflop with JJ, and maybe even 10-10. If you check the turn he might think you hit trips and are trying to trap as well, so I think you check the turn. |
