I know you've heard this a million times, yes I am new, still learning.
I notice when I get HU I like to push a lot and be aggressive but it costs me A LOT. I tend to push with mid pocket pairs and sometimes low pocket pairs and so on.
I usually lose, but this is where I need help. Please post any helpful tips, I would highly appreciate it.
Thanks! |

| If pushing heads up with pocket pairs is a leak, I'm clueless as to what a good play is. Q7 is beating your opponent half the time heads up. Pocket pairs are golden heads up (true 66 and below can often be basically toss ups, so playing those really does depend on your stack and your opponent - but in general pushing heads up = take blinds; and if you get a call then at worst you are usually better than 50/50 to win so no big deal). |

Thats what I thought but it just seems like everytime I do push, they ALWAYS have a better hand or they always win the coinflip or catch something on the river. I havn't seen first place in awhile, always second. |

1) How many times is ALWAYS? I'm betting we are talking about a small sample here and you are remembering bad beats more than you are any other hand. Read you hand history - how well did you play to get to heads up? Did you luck out on some hands which you can improve on, or did you play solid? Learn from your tourney, don't dwell on bad beats (at least for too long); concentrate on the good plays you made so that you will repeat those.
2) Second place is a good finish, you are always gonna take some hits HU in SNGs. Give it time the firsts will come. |

Yea I forget about the bad beats but I was just wondering if pushing with pocket pairs and what not. I figured it was the right thing to do but a lot of the times they get cracked.
And yes I play good up until HU it seems like. I dunno! |

| dont worry, it might be just one of those runs where your losing ALL of ur coinflip situations. THe run will blow over and you will be back to normal. |

Hopefully!
I just got off a huge losing streak also but I try not to think about that. |

I'd be more concerned if you weren't pushing with PPs
Keep hammering away! |
