What do you play? Just starting but i suppose short handed nlhe
At what stakes do you play? I guess i'll start out at 1cent/2cent
How long have you been playing? I have been watching videos, reading books, and playing free rolls/play money for a about a year, never really played with a roll though.
Where do you mostly play? Well i just won 61.50 from a free roll on PokerStars so there.
Why did you come to FTR? A friend of mine from a friendly home game suggested going to 2 + 2 and when i searched this came up as well. 2+2 people seemed like a bunch of queers so i'm here.
Do you have any goals (and how can we help)? MY main and biggest goal is to not lose my 61.50 lol. Im going to be sticking with 2nl until i lose it or get up to like $125, hopefully you guys can help me make the later happen. |

| Hi all I am from Geogia, USA. I have been playing poker since I was a kid, but only about 3yrs online. Mostly play holdem and like the merge sites, but do play at PokerStars and FullTilt some. I found the forum because of the Reefer Money Added tournament. Looks like a great place. |

What do you play? Just about everything but some games are more works in progress then others
At what stakes do you play? Low stakes online, low to mid live
How long have you been playing? Started playing about 4 years ago live and have been playing online for about 3 years off and on.
Where do you mostly play? Live: I play in AC and Vegas several times a year. In AC I like the Trop, Vegas...Bellagio or MGM Grand.
Online I play on Full Tilt, Bodog, and Poker Stars.
Why did you come to FTR? Had a fellow online player tell me about it and read a few of the forums and saw the great info here.
Do you have any goals (and how can we help)? My goal is to increase my winning percentage. The site can help by continuing to provide great information and produce freerolls so we can practice our game!
Thanks for the welcome party! Glad to be a part of the forum! |

My name is judith - I love poker i think that was easy to figure out.
On all poker sites you will find me as vegasjjxxx where xxx is some number 01; 101; 49; 18; 888 and so on
I play a lot on line, and play many of the FTR games - they are JUST AWESOME!
Did not - and generally i do not write much in the forums - I rather spend the time playing. But your forum is great and so are your games so I will make an effort to stop by and say something if I have something worth to be said.
Good luck to everyone and cheers
JJ |

What do you play?
Texas Holdem!
At what stakes do you play?
Up to about 25NL 6-max (my passion)
How long have you been playing?
I've been playing for about 3 years.
Where do you mostly play?
Have played at PokerStars long ago, but lost. Just recently been playing at Victor Chandler, taking advantage of a free $35 they were giving at the time, turned it into $200 in about a month, after having read some article here about 6-max, which made me fall in love with this particular type of Holdem.
Why did you come to FTR?
Do you have any goals (and how can we help)?
I have always been an impatient reader, but I do find it easy to participate in forums actively. I'm sure that being active here will improve my game.
Include more stuff if you want
As I said, I have been successful in the past, I have read some guides from the Poker Articles section from this site and have lurked a bit in the forums. All of this happening slowly for a process of about 2-3 years. Seeing that I can actually play profitably, I am looking to improve my game and have a try at higher stakes poker when I'm ready.
Who could tell that you can make money for playing a game you love?

| What's up all, my name is Jon McGill and I reside in Greenville, SC. I currently only play live and on FTP. I would love to play on Stars, but seeing as they have no Rakeback....why? Been playing for years, but recently just started on FTP. I searched for something regarding Poker Tracker and a post showed up from here. Been browsing and this is a very useful tool. Currently grinding my way through microstakes to build a healthy roll. Have my sights set on possibly 200nl. Goal is to be able to receive additional income in the form of a check bi-weekly. Also very keen to the idea of multi-table SNGs. I am constantly looking to improve my understanding of PokerTracker and overall theory. E-mail me anytime. |

What do you play and what stakes: I play 2$ NLHE for now.. gotta start somewhere
How long have you been playing: Started playing with a group of friends in high school, then moved to play money on the internet. I just got started with cash games.
Where do you mostly play: at the moment im strictly PokerStars
Why did you come to FTR: So I can develop a strategy and know what im doing rather than playing blind on what i felt to be a good hand
Do you have any goals: Just to improve. The money isnt all that important (although I must say it would be a plus) |

My Name is Bob Age 46
I play 2 to 25 tables NLHE and tourneys
I've been playing about 40 years. I learned to play penny poker with my parents and family when I was about 6. I learned the hard way when you lose your money you lose your money. You gotta win it back or go home broke. [/b]
I play at Poker Stars. I am a agressive player and use multiple Stratagies. My attitude has always been play hard live right and dont be afraid to lose.
The reason I came here was the fact I need to learn to be patient once I have the big stack. I play 90% of hands. I hate sitting still. I have tried playing multiple tables at once and it helps some. Looking for advice on being patient and keeping focused during long matches. |

Hello
I used to read this forum and I decided to sign in. I didn't play poker since almost one year, and I was then a very occasional player. But now I want to play more often and improve my skills
I play on PokerStars and Betfair
(I'm not an english speaker, so sorry if I make a lot of faults. I 'll do my best to be understandable). |

Hey There guys
I'm Alexander
im from Georgia \ Tbilisi
I'm 21
I would like to make a comment about this forum. I've found many cool things here.
I'll tell you honestly. I was going to participate as much freerolls as possible but, i changed my mind . I was going to ask for FTR passwords, and also visit other sites for other freerolls. You know, wouldnt like to lose my own money yet, i dont have any ideas yet, HOW are they managing to pick that much pots.
I'm playing poker about 1 week. I'm going to get some literature which by the way i found here and then , i'll try my new experience knowledge and luck in game.
I would also like to ask you guys few things, and if possible, i would like to ask experienced gamers here , to let me know WHEN and WHERE are they playing so i can watch. If possible it would be just great to add me also in skype, so i could ask questions while watching the game (IF i wont be disturbing him\her of course)
Thanks |

What do you play: NLHE on PokerStars
At what stakes do you play: Micro stakes ring games (6 player and full-ring)
How long have you been playing: Less than one year
Goals: To be better tomorrow than I am today. Rinse and repeat.
I've played poker here and there for a few years, but just recently have I decided to actually sit down and really learn the game: Bankroll Management, calculating odds, etc.
I've just recently deposited $25 into PokerStars. So I'm only playing in the micro stakes until I build that up (here's hoping).
I think it's going to take me a fair amount of time to learn all the acronyms and short-forms I see being tossed around on here. That's my first order of business.
I'm looking forward to participating in the forums. |

What do you play? No Limit/Pot Limit Hold'em SnG up to 18man, Small Stakes Limit Hold'em, very little cash No Limit Hold'em
At what stakes do you play? Small. $5.50 - $11 currently for SnGs, $.25/$.50 for Limit Ring, and $10 buy-in No Limit Ring
How long have you been playing? Been playing play money on stars since I was 15 or 16, started playing with real cash ($30) a bit before my 17th birthday... So that makes it about 3 years with play money, a bit over 2 years without play money.
Where do you mostly play? PokerStars for reals, Bodog for fun (it's too fishy to take serious at my stakes) and with friends (they have all their sports gambling money in Bodog, you know how those college kids are with their sports betting)
Why did you come to FTR? Googled up Poker Strategy, read practically every article here, reviewed some of the forum and took a bad beat. I posted it, got some information on my equity (someone using PokerStove) and I've been hooked since. Nice way to fill the time.
Do you have any goals (and how can we help)? Identify any leaks in my game. Criticize the hell out of me, tell me why I'm wrong. USE MATH.
Anything else? I'm a broke college student (Cal Poly) with little bankroll. I've had experience with computers my whole life, and I'm currently majoring in Electrical Engineering. I've built websites from scratch, tackled many web coding projects (PHP lately), and I help the computer science/engineering students with their programming homework. I'm still considering switching to Computer Engineering. |

Hello!
JackWrangler here, from Seattle. I have found the poker articles here very helpful, and am using my newfound knowledge to not lose money on PokerStars.
I will be keeping a record of my poker life online, although apparently I'm not allowed to post the link yet. It *might* be something like JackWrangler dot net.
I'm only playing the .01/.02 tables while I build a bankroll; the goal is to march up the ladder, inexorably, and also to encompass new experiences like casino and cash-game poker.
The more immediate goal is to actually move from not losing money to winning money. |

Ugh.
Before setting up the trifecta of a blog with a domain, my PokerStars account, and my "JackWrangler" account I failed to google "Jack Wrangler."
Having done so now, I discovered that there is a gay porn star who goes by the name Jack Wrangler.
What a disaster!
And now my PokerStars account is on security hold because I tried to create a new one, which I guess they don't allow.
Anyway, I'm going by TheBlueKnave now. |

Hi all.......I am from Canada and have been playing online for about 3 years. I like small buy ins even though i started my bankroll playing those long 4 to 6 hrs freerolls to win under $5. lol
I enjoy playing forum buy ins as the standard of play is usually high with players respecting high raises etc. I am always learning and enjoy reading articles about playing strategies.
Hope to see you on the tables. |

Hello everyone,
I am both new to this forum as well as to poker. I only ever played on silly little computer games to take a break from working. I never realised that it could be so lucrative, nor available to the general public.
No, I do not live under a rock, but it never crossed my mind. Oh, an added incentive for me was that a trader I respect greatly told me that good poker players make the best traders.
So, here I am, ready, willing and able. |

What do you play? Primarily STT SNG's some MTT SNGs occasional ring games
At what stakes do you play? $1
How long have you been playing? Extremely casual for the last few years. Just decided to up my game in the last month.
Where do you mostly play? FullTilt
Why did you come to FTR? Just kind of stumbled across it while googling for strategy sites to help improve myself.
Do you have any goals (and how can we help)? I want to claw my way out of microstakes and up to the $50-200 tables. I know it won't happen over night and I'm in for the long haul. |

My name is Robin and I'm currently a Poker Dealer and a writer in Northern California. I joined this site to gather information about what poker players want to know and read about. I'm also excited about reading through the threads in the hopes to strengthen my live game..... I hope I find some useful information here.
I've been dealing for 15 years, basically my entire adult life so I know the ends and outs of the game but I'm always up for learning new strategies and techniques that make me a more profitable player. |
