Tough beats....
the first hand, this guy should've never seen that turn card, just plain stupid to bet and bet to a low pocket pair. Like you said in the chat, that's poker. He had what, 2 outs to make his hand and did.
The second hand, I'd have to say that early in a tournament I wouldn't want to make this bet, but with holding top two pair on the flop, I would definitely sit on it and think it out. Again, he gets lucky on the river, drawing to his hand, nothing special he did on his play, you just got unlucky.
Needless to say, two very tough beats, keep pluggin' away and with this play, I think long run you'll be ITM.
