I like to bet PPs when the flop only brings one over but when it's an Ace (yuk), I check. It plays the same as KK I guess.

I'm not loving your river bet though.

I think I only have 490 behind on river and with a 2nd A out, I'm pretty sure I'm ahead. Is this not a value betting situation?

No, but pockets may well pay us off here and his play is consistent with weakly played low to mid-pockets. Considering this is unlikely, I can see that a value bet is probably incorrect.

The trouble is that we see so many donks playing trappy (badly) because they love to think they're some sort of poker genius. If you're not sure you're ahead, not betting is my preference.

I like the check on the flop cause your only getting called by an ace most of the time. As the other guy said i don't like the river all-in because now that you got him to fold you don't know what he called your preflop raise outta position with.
I mean unless you already had enough information on the player but i think checking is the better play because if he has u beat he's gonna snap call and if he doesn't you still take down the same amount and you get information.

you shouldnt justify checking the river by saying you'll get information. if someone check/calls the turn and then check/folds the river, villain is an awful player. I think the shove is fine because its very unlikely for villain to have Ax and very often you'll be called by worse.

i think preflop is pretty close to a shove but standard raising seems fine because your in position and TT is destroying a bvb limp range

I think you played it fine except the river bet. Most players won't bet out on an ace when calling a preflop raise, esp. a weak ace, but they will check-call. They'll also check call a lot of other hands, so a smallish value bet on the river would be more profitable, imo.

I think it is close, but I think I would c-bet this for 400 on the flop. If we had KK I would definitely check behind, however with TT I am more inclined to bet (since there are a few hands that we beat that will fold). I prefer to bet the flop rather than the turn if we are going to bet since if opp is on a draw, we give him a free card to get there.

As played, I check behind on the river but I do not think shoving is terrible since the second A on board significantly reduces the chance that opp has one (particularly because he didn't bet the flop or C-R on the turn).

If you're oop with TT and it check-checks on flop, do you lead out on turn?

If I'm OOP with TT and it check/checks, I think I check again on the turn, but I think it's a close decision between betting and checking again.

I know, I think I lose so many big pots I could steal with the right bet in these situations. I think I should fire out on the flop in HU situations more often.
