| You raised waaaaaay too much preflop. 7x is a lot even with 3 limpers. I'd actually probably just fold it preflop and move on to the next table. What's the buy-in? I don't see how you can fold now. |

I would not raise this preflop, I would probably just fold it with three limpers in front. I'd limp KQs however. In this spot, fold > limp >>>>> raise IMO. The reason not to raise here is that KQo is a marginal hand multiway and many players will just flat call with AQ and AK meaning you can lose your whole stack with the second best hand on a K or Q high flop.
As played preflop, you're getting your chips in on this flop regardless of what happens. There are 1410 chips in the pot when it gets to you and you have 1510 behind.
After your 780 bet you cannot ever fold here because a) you just put in like 60% of your stack and b) you're getting 4:1 pot odds on the call and c) you do have two pair... |

This is a $1 SNG at party. The limpers ahead of me could have any sort of crap.
KQo is not a great hand but I dont understand why I should be folding here from the CO with no raises in front of me.
With a standard raise being 4xbb + 1bb per limper, what is the max I should raise as a % of my stack preflop. |

You are folding because this isn't a cash game where you can top off your chips every time your stack drops a bit. In a tournament you should be either conserving chips or gathering them (with strong hands). Playing these sorts of hands early doesn't accomplish #2 enough to make it worthwhile.
You also fold because hands like KQo are extremely hard to play against a bunch of limpers. If the flop comes Q98 two toned how many chips are you going to invest before you figure out if you are ahead or behind here?
FWIW, one thing that I learned a long time ago is that when I play a hand early in a tournament it should either be strong enough to raise with or I better have a post flop plan (i.e. playing for set value, flush/str8, etc.). That is why Tai mentioned that he would fold KQo yet limp with KQs. The possiblity of a flush with the suited hand makes it strong enough to play however you STILL need to go into that hand not thinking TPGK is worth felting. |
