Thoughts on SnGs?

I've played around 7-8 in total so far and i have only won 1.

This is a baddd thing. It's given me a bad frame of mind when it comes to playing winning poker especially as some of the times i've had the worst hand when i've been all -in.

Does anyone have a strategy for beating say the $11 SnGs on party?
Is calling with mid pair best in position, do you raise one pair?

What do you do against someone who always raises button and never folds?

I am hoping that my heads up play is not terrible and that i am just running bad. I play these as a break from 6-max every now and then but i just cannot seem to catch a break.
My big hands get folded to, and consequently i have only 9-3o the entire SnG.

Hi there, Im the guy you played in that first hand history and I actually remember playing you.

First up, dont worry about it your game wil develop naturally, just try the smaller SnG's to start with. Secondly Heads Up SnG's is just like any other HU game, play loosely and try bully your opponent into submission.

Play a few hands very aggresively and try make them fold after only posting the blind, this will knock thier confidence a bit and make them wary of calling or raising you. Then you lower the amount you raise by, say from 300 to 60, this will make him think you've got a weak hand and call, then you raise a large amount when the next card is dealt, this then makes him panic and usually fold. When they fold show hands that contain A,K,Q,J,10 or pairs, this will also make him think you are on a lucky streak and will dent his performance even more. If you have any other hand just muck the cards.

If you start a SnG and your opponent is playing the way I described above, just fold,fold and keep on folding until you hit a pair or a decent face card hand then play it, by folding a good few hands this will frustrate your opponent, then when you make a move he will be caught off-balance and either fold or limp, then its just down to the cards, naturally strongest hand wins. If you win, your opponent will be more hesitant in playing a weak hand against you next time, this gives you a little room to move and gradually get more and more aggressive, then you can play the game as I described above.
