vnh.
I don't really know anything about the other guy in this hand or whether he and Ivy play together much, but this happens between me and a couple of friends sometimes. Actually, something similar happened the other day in a 2/5 casino game. I was betting the whole way on a draw, the guy calls a $150 bluff on the river (pot ~260) with another busted draw. He had a king high and took it down. I got PWND. |

| I think Ivey got his answer on his second reraise. When his opp. reraised him after Ivey's second reraise, Ivey knew that if his opp. had a big hand he would've gone all in. Ivey picked up on that and I think thats why he decided to push on the very next play. |

| How many chips did Jackson have? Like half a million when it started? So he lost like his whole stack? |

They said he got up to about a million, and when Phil asks how much he has left he said 380k. So he lost about 600k on the hand. |

It is a nh.... but look at the chip stacks peoples.
It looks to me like they just started heads up. Phil knows that he has a commanding chip stack, and he knows that his opp is so shortstacked that he is going to have to make a move.
By the time Phil went all-in I would think he was thinking "well my opp either has a huge hand or he has air." If he has a huge hand, I will pay him off and still be a huge chip leader. If he has air, haha I win.
It was very fun to watch tho. |

Char - if you missed this thing on FSN, you should really look out for it. Very deep stacked tourney (50k stacks, opened at 25/25 blinds IIRC), they showed a lot of play from all rounds.
This hand was flat amazing. Phil was mega CL with three left, but opp had closed the gap, it would have been a horse race if Phil doubled him here. This was great play by both, except that Jack should have pushed the last time. |

haha - Phil Ivey is such a liar!!
It was 8Q sooooted, not offsuit.
The crappy part of poker on tv is they rarely tell you the chip stacks of the players. |

Char thats my main issue with Poker on TV too.
I thought about this hand. Is Jackson calling Iveys all-in if his hand was A2(I doubt it would play out the same) It seemed to me like Jackson read Iveys bluff but knew his 6high couldnt beat a bluff. |

| which is why as drmcboy pointed out, Jack should have either folded or pushed against Ivey's reraise rather than letting Ivey have one more crack at it. |
