Rooney looked pretty good today.
Paraguay is so dumb. Playing for a draw is like asking for the other team to score a goal. It was bound to happen some time. |

Yeah, how did that happen? Olof Mellberg too. Thought it was standard like Iceland to be named after your dad with son or daughter tagged on the end.
Definitely is in Iceland anyway. |

they just got cut to 4s i think
Czech spain perhaps also holland and england are good bets. Like most south american teams the argies can be susceptable at the back but shesh when u have messi and tevez (my personal fav player) coming off the bench its hard to see them not outscoring anyone in the competiton.
Im still trying to comprehend that Cavenaghi and Ortega didnt even make this squad. They do look awesome |

Big likening to Carlos Alberto of 1970. |

make that red cards and a goal that was taken away.
That ref sucked balls. And our announcers suck too - they are making it seem like a tie was fine. It wasn't. U.S. needs to win by a huge margin against Ghana to have any chance of advancing since their goal differential sucks. |

And anyone know who was officially credited with the goal that the US had? A US player or an Italian player? |

sup niggas
just got back from germany
went to 2 games- brazil vs germany and us vs italy
the US vs italy game was insane
one of the ugliest games I have ever seen
the US actually played better, even after they got down to 9 players after 2 players got sent off for mauling the italians
the brazil game wasn't great either
ronaldinho didn't play well at all
so far the best game I have seen is sweden vs england's 2-2 game
now that is what I call football
sweden has a sick team
I hope they go far |

Soooo, how does everyone rate England's chances v. Ecuador?
I was really optomistic about our chances before actually seeing us play the last three games. |

England will luckbox their way through and we'll all get to hear about how you are going to win the world cup and how you're "the best side ever".
Quick question - do people think the media hype up the England team as a method of drumming up (more) support or do you think they genuinely believe the team are as good as they are being made out to be? |
