Ok, here's my situation. I play UB mostly but started catchin a cold run of cards so I cashed out. I put my money into the Gaming Club to get the $50 match with a $50 deposit, but they screwed me on that so after a week I cashed out. PP gave me $20 to blow and I did just that in a day. I am NEVER playing PP again, NEVER, not even if they gave me another $100 in free casino money. $100 isn't worth the cost of my monitor hitting the wall. So now I have a dilemma. I don't know where to put my money in. It's just chillin in my Neteller account. I wanna play somewhere semi-tight like UB & also has a nice interface. Tryin to get away from UB because their hand history sucks.

I play at Poker Stars and Paradise.

Paradise gives me a lot of highs and lows.

Xianti thinks Paradise has the best opposition. I think the words he used were "Just the right amount of fish."

I was annoyed with Poker Stars at first, because it's so tight. But I've gotten used to it and I think I'm liking it just fine now.

Just 2 quick opinions on 2 sites if you want it.

Also, I just learned about Absolute Poker. I don't know much about it. It looks nice from the 5 min I've spent there.

Hard to compare with the Party fish. Just need a thick bankroll and a thicker skin. When you play poker for a bit on a thin bankroll, you're almost reduced to gambling.

I originally posted the post at this link for you here, double up, but I figured I may as well make it a new topic.

so true! Laughing

if your skin is feeling thin, try Poker Stars.

i've actually been playing NL ring again at Poker Stars, and i find it much more sane than party.

that's what i'm working toward - but in the past, i've gotten eaten alive in those games.

i've been playing stars .10/.25 NL full tables, and doing well. like rippy said in a previous post, i hate playing with "real" money (as opposed to chips in an SNG) and in the past played real money game a little too tentatively.

however, this time around, i'm trying to play the .10/.25 game exactly like i would an SNG in terms of my betting, especially preflop, and it seems to be working.

i've also been playing the heads-up SNG's on stars "rippy-style" and winning about 75% of time - those are a hoot! Laughing i haven't been sworn at this much since high school (i think "f***ing moron" is my favorite so far).

what it comes down to: i'm trying to increase my aggession factor (where appropriate) and get more comfortable with 'lots of action. seems to be working.

2 months ago, i would look at your hand histories and think "my god, this fnord guy is crazy with the preflop raising" but now that i've played a bit more, this is by far the most successful way to play. i limp and call far less than i did a month ago.

ok jm - an "old dog new tricks" comment would probably be appropriate here. Wink
