OK, this is going to take some time to put together, so I thought I would feed it out 25 hands at a time. That's all the forum can take anyway. Comment as a reply to this thread.
Thanks to bjsaust for automating the collation of everybody's hole cards.

For two reasons, mainly because you can bet slightly less than what most people bet and get the same amount of folds. This makes this play more +EV when betting smaller. I also like to play a lot of hands so getting to flops cheap is something I love. I also think my cash game play helps me play well enough postflop. Flop looks good for me. Any Jx hand is going to call, as well as 76 or T9. Of course sets or slow played rockets can as well, but these will usually raise. Turn is an interesting card. AJ has me crushed but would probably raise flop. Me betting meant I wanted to see where I was at and I also bet barely over half because I think this bet does the same as a higher bet. He either folds most J hands or calls with hands that should have me beat. That thinking isn't too good though when I look at it, you want to get as much value from a worse hand as you can. Holding complete trash in my hand is much better than me having KK when I bet the turn because now my hand with showdown value is turned into a bluff. Bad move on my part. |

River - I misplayed the river, I should have checked-called it, but went for a check-raise because I thought he was trying to represent a bigger hand then he has
This was a costly hand, mainly due to my mistake on the river, now I needed to adjust the strategy a bit, usually when I am short stacked I am looking for a good spot to double up, however here I knew it will be very hard to double up, so I needed to start building my stack by winning small-medium pots |

I'll have a first shot (I have an advantage since I put the comments together  )
Hand 6 - Skeeno: I wouldn't call an EP raise with T9s, if there were lots of limpers obv fine but not against an EP raiser. Flop is kind of marginal too, I don't think you have odds to call here, even with implied odds
- kmind: I don't think you really have to worry too much about the A on the turn, skeeno would raise AJ and would probably fold A5/A8, if he has AA he has you pwned already, I think turn bet is fine.
Hand 10 - TLR: I would bet flop with the flush draw out there, but on this table I guess checking is not so bad since bjs has ATC. Turn is fine, but I would lead river because if bjs checks behind you lose value, as played I think I would call his bet rather than raise, I would be worried about the flush or straight here.
- Bjs: I would raise a little more on the turn with two potential flush draws out there, probably 180 to go.
Hand 13 - elitemob: Raise is absolutely fine, you are only in EP postflop not preflop, blind vs blind I raise this every single time
Hand 16 - TLR: I would not raise such rags from EP, if you get re-raised you have a hopeless spot and have to fold
- Skeeno: Re-raise obviously worked nicely here but usually against a good player raising from UTG I would usually just call and play position with AKs, particularly on this table because you won't get lots of callers.
Hand 17 - bonaparte: I would raise to 120 rather than 150, no need to raise so much here. I would definitely not call the re-raise with ATo without a very solid read, you are dominated by a lot of hands that kmind would re-raise here. On the flop, I think shove is fine after kmind checks.
- kmind: That is a ballsy flop call after bonaparte raised from the button and called your re-raise, you must be worried about AQ/AJ here (AK would shove over preflop). Guess you were trying to C-R AI but bonaparte went AI first.
Hand 18 - elitemob: I would not raise A2s from early MP, too much chance of getting re-raised on this table and the blinds are not worth stealing yet.
Hand 19 - myself: Bleh should not have bothered with JTs this early.
- TLR: That was a ballsy re-raise, interesting example of thinking on several levels deep here since you knew I would know you were pot committed. I guess it is pretty much independent of cards, you could do this with 32o for the same effect.
Hand 21 - kmind: Blinds really aren't worth stealing yet, although the table is tight if you get re-raised you burned 99 chips for nothing, and if you get all folds you in 45 chips, big deal...
Hand 25 - skeeno: I would definitely raise 66 here, you are effectively on the button because Avi is sitting out. |
