Definitely not standard for me, but how many of you make this call? Main reason I called was that villain's huge river bet didn't make sense to me considering he had played passively so far.

I think you played this fine, including the turn bet - but once opp calls the turn bet I am out of there on the river. Opp could be slowplaying Ax or a set.

BTW opp's river bet isn't that huge considering the size of the pot. There are ~1170 chips in the pot on the river, it looks like a value bet to me.

I like your call.

Because you were OOP on the flop and you checked, most villains would bet their ace on the flop. Your turn looks like a steal and no one is going to believe that you have an ace. People call your turn bet with a pair of 6s, 8s, any PP, straight draws, and sometimes even just high cards.

By the river, you hand is massively under represented. Also, you checked, so there is a high chance he is trying to steal the pot (especially if he has less than a pair and believes that betting is the only way to win the pot).

tough river decision, but a read is a read and I guess you had it. That 480 on the river is like half his stack at that point, that's stronger than him shoving all-in
