Also, even using your range, if I need 41% to call and I'm 44% against pretty much the strongest range you can give him, then its a call and any further hands only weakens his range more because we can now only add hands that are behind (or flipping) with me.

Been hanging out at 50NL these days trying to plug leaks.

I think I found one! Overvalue JJ much?

$0.25/$0.50 No Limit Holdem
5 players
Converted at weaktight.com

Stacks:
UTG ($43.92)
CO ($19.00)
BTN ($21.12)
Hero (SB) ($124.92)
BB ($74.10)

Pre-flop: ($0.75, 5 players) Hero is SB Jack of Spades Jack of Clubs
2 folds, BTN raises to $1.50, Hero raises to $6, BB calls $5.50, BTN folds

Flop: Two of Clubs Nine of Clubs Four of Hearts ($13.75, 2 players)
Hero checks, BB checks

Turn: Four of Diamonds ($13.75, 2 players)
Hero bets $8, BB calls $8

River: Three of Hearts ($29.75, 2 players)
Hero goes all-in $110.92 [all in], BB goes all-in $60.10 [all in]

Final Pot: $149.70
Hero shows: Jack of Spades Jack of Clubs
BB shows: Ace of Hearts Five of Clubs

Hero wins $50.82 ( lost -$74.10 )
BB wins $149.70 ( won +$75.60 )
BTN lost -$1.50

I had a few tough decisions going at other tables so I didn't give this one much attention. The result is me thinking I'm in a pot with the short stack I 3 bet and not the awful semi deep reg behind me. I kind of did a bit of a double take at the shorty's stack size when I went to bet the river not thinking I was pretty sure he should have had less than that.

*sigh*

Oh yeah! what the poop is that moron doing in this hand with A5o anyway??? Jesus fucking christ. The only way that could ever be profitable is with me making this exact error!

If you play LHE and you fold that river to one bet getting 10-1 you're an idiot. I should lock that thread but I think you'll be ignored anyway.

Galapagos: Why didn't you cbet the flop? And why shove the river? You didn't give any reads but if you've got JJ in your value 3bet range then you've got to cbet this board to balance out your bluffs. If you think he only calls you with QQ+ and AK then obv 3betting was the incorrect move to begin with.

I probably like bet flop, c/c turn and c/f river this deep although if he's a maniac retard/station the best line is just bet/bet/bet.

you need 41% to call
seems like a marginal call

i think there's more draws in his range and not mostly just sets. how about TJ/QJhh and Ax hh

granted we're not a HUUGE favorite over the draws but they are just so much more likely than sets. i dont' know how many video instructors ive heard say its impossible to hit sets.

no, it loses to the draws because draws have 15 outs vs. AK and therefore favorites

by this logic your KT hand was bad b/c villain had 9 outs and you only had 3.

I was sitting on my porch, taking it easy and playing some mtt:s just for fun with my laptop. Was trying to get MSN voice to work so I could chat with a friend while I play. I was updating to a new version when this happened:

I was playing a $50 rebuy mtt on stars. Something like 300 players, about 100 left. Blinds 600/1200 with ante. I was in like 20th position with a stack of 24k. I'm on the button. SB was loose and COVERS. BB was small stack with 3k left.

Folded to me. I open to 2800 with KK and because BB was commited this was a must steal with any good K high+ hand. Now SB reraises to 7500, perfect! I'm about to shove when my laptop gives me the BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH.

WTF? I didn't even know that Vista can give you a blue screen. I thought it wasn't even implemented to the os anymore.

So I run inside to my usual setup, wake up my workstation from sleep and click on stars link. I haven't played on stars for a while with my workstation so of course: "There is a software update ready to install". FUCK!

downloading... downloading... downloading...

I finally manage to log in. The table opens. 4sec left in the time bank, I shove all-in. YEAH!!!

Villain snaps with aces. Game over.

Broken something? I probably laughed for about 5 minutes to the irony of the situation. Funniest shit related to poker that has ever happened to me.
