So I tried at 7 card stud in a Freeroll MTT

About 10 hands into it I get: Three of Clubs Four of Clubs Five of Clubs

I go in, thinking this is good.

Then I get Six of Clubs

with a flush and a OESD draw I bet it up.

The next card is Two of Clubs

Hell, 7 card stud is easy Smile

It was Hi/Lo too, so I spanked the guy going for a 7 high. I think I may retire from 7 card after that hand. Because, all jokes aside, there is not enough thought time on online poker for me to play 7 card. I am in the middle of figuring out where I stand when the alarm goes off.

7 card stud hi only is a VERY swingy game. Particularly with a high ante.

Well Fnord, you are right.

I placed 11th out of 500+ this weekend in a 7 card stud tournament (not Hi/Lo). I was actually rated #2 with 12 left. I caught an early 3 of a kind and bet all I could at another guy. On the last couple of streets he stopped raising and just started calling my bet. He had 2 pair and hit his boat on the last card. I never improved. That knocked me down to about 8th or so. Then I went out on some nondescript hand. Very swingy.
