Hello all. I was wondering about what the average ROI was for $6.50 turbos on Stars through 1000 sngos would be before moving up a level? I am currently sitting 19%. I would think that my ROI would be a little higher if I were not playing the turbos, but I can just get more games in by playing these. Is the 19% percent decent at that level considering it's a turbo? Any comments, advice, or questions are all welcome. Thanks again.

Have a look at this. Think 19% is pretty good
, especially over 1,000 games.

If you've got 19% ROI over 1,000 games, definitely move up to the $16 turbos. They are not much harder than the $6.50s, the rake is lower as a % and you'll earn much more $/hour.

How many buy-ins would you think I would need to have if I did move up to the 15+1 turbos? I have read that you could probably get by with about 20, but wouldn't you think I would need a few more considering they are turbos?

I had 50 buyins or $800 before I moved up, but that's probably because I am very conservative with Bankroll Management. At a pinch, since you have proven that you are a winning player, you could probably get by with 30 at the $16 turbos.

If you've played 1,000 $6.50 turbos with a 19% ROI, you should have made profits of over $1,200 - did you cash those out?

Unfortunately I did make a few cashouts. Thats the reason I never really moved up. I do have about 20 buy-ins though. I think I could probably go ahead and make the jump, but the only thing that kinda keeps me from doing so with only 20 buy-ins is variance. I could probably make the jump and if something went wrong then I would just go back down. What would you suggest? I'm also about to post a hand. If you don't mind could you take a look?

I would stick to the $6.50's, and throw a few $16's in the mix after you win a few at the $6.50 level. After you build a bigger roll you can consider solely sticking to the $16's. Moving up in stakes w/ only 20 buyin's is a mistake IMO, although I am much more conservative with my bankroll than most.

I like this idea. Keep on playing $6.50s, when you win a $6.50 then play a $16, and keep on playing $16s until you finish OTM at them, then move back down to $6.50s, rinse and repeat until you have ~$500 at which time move up to the $16s permanently.

20 buyins isn't sufficient for the $16s IMO, it's very possible to have a 20 buyin downswing and you wouldn't want that to wipe you out.

Do you think it is wise to move back and forth like that considering the play is a little different? I probably think it would be best to stay where I'm at until I get a few more buy-ins. What do you think?

There isn't that much difference in play between the $6.50s and $16s, don't worry about it. If you're multitabling, honestly you probably won't be able to tell which is the $16 in your set.
