(Okay, I know, wrong forum, but I want people to see this in the next twenty hours or so)

I'm having a house game tomorrow. A big freaking house game (at least for the group I play with). The most I've ever played with is 14, but I might be doubling that, somewhere between 24-32 people are going to show up. We're doing $20 buy in, with $20 rebuys. We're going to make the blind structure so that people are more willing to buy back in for the first hour and a half.

Now, my question revolves around add-ons. Me personally, I don't like them for home games. If one guy does it, *everyone* has to do it. You know, you gotta "keep up with the Jones's" or whatever. Some guys *really* like them. I see their point, it makes the pot that much bigger...but why wouldn't we just make the initial buy in for $40, instead of focking around with rebuy/addon B.S.? It's at my house, so my rules apply....but somebody give me a good reason why I *should* have addons, or is there really only one, just to make the pot bigger for the eventual winner?

Since you're the host it is entirely up to you what rules you apply, if you don't like addons then don't do them!

Personally, I prefer home tourneys to be freezeouts, rebuy tourneys cause my brain hassle.

Oh and it doesn't matter what forum you post in, people will always come across it Wink

ok so george rebuys and add ons are cool because theyll make the pot larger like u mentioned, and trust me itll be more than if everyone paid 40 or so, and they also change the mentality that you should play the first hour with...people will play more loose, make looser calls etc, so it may be fun, you should try it sometime theyre fun

p.s. i only play freezeouts in my home games Razz
