GENERAL GUIDELINES:
This forum is for all material that relates to all forms of Omaha. Hands, brag posts, beat posts, strategy posts, blog posts, tournaments, and site/game selection issues all legitimate topics for discussion.
Please mention the form of game being played in your title to avoid confusion. PLO, PLO8, LO8, and LO.
POSTING HANDS:
Clean up your hand histories manually or use a converter. Unconverted Omaha Histories are almost impossible to read and interpret. I've included FTR's converter for your reference (http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com/Hand-Converter.php), but I have had problems with it for Omaha hands in the past. As such, I recommend:

Hands MUST be converted. Repeatedly posting unconverted hands with no explanation of why they are not converted will cause me to delete your hands.
Include any reads you have on the other players in the hand and how your opponents may perceive you based on the last couple orbits. Big Bet Omaha is not a technical, but an intuitive game and reads are often more important than anything else
Don’t necessarily post the final results until after some initial discussion, as it may bias the analysis. Use your judgment. If you're illustrating a point or bragging etc. that is different.
When offering analysis, explain why you made a particular decision. Often the reasoning is more important than the result. |
