ever been on a table where you're playing against someone who is SO FUCKING GOOD? Like so good that even your poker rationalizing mind can't even come up with a rationalization for why u are being outplayed except that their skill is 10x more than u?

i win a big pot early when he's not involved. takes my stack up to 1400. His stack is about 1800. So I'm thinking FANTASTIC... lets lagg it up and target that big stack.

anyway, he's the one who does the LAGGing. He raises over my min raises. Makes big bets, smal bets, check-raise, totally unpredictable. Excellent board reading. Bluffs well, calls well, and folds well. Just takes pot after pot but doesn't lose his stack and picks his spots.

I check on another table and he has $4600!!! WTF? On a 400PLO table! VPIPing about 60 and PFR about 30.

Anyway, finished the session up 3 buyins but it was clear that I could not profitably play on the table even with 2 fish, when he was controlling it like that and we were so deep stacked.

googled his name. found a couple of hands he was involved. turns out he's a 2000PLO reg.

Imagine me stomping fish in a 50PLO game. Then multiply the ownage by about 2.5 - that's how bad it was.
