| In a standard 650 pc set, how many different colors are, and how many chips of each color are there? |

I think it would just depend on the set being sold. A lot of the ones on eBay that I looked at had 5 colors, with the break down accordingly:
200 White ($1)
200 Red ($5)
100 Green ($25)
100 Blue ($50)
50 Black ($100)
I opted to get a 1000 piece chip set having 300, 300, 200, 100 and 100 respectively. I have since then added some purple chips for a $500 denomination.
Just shop around on eBay until you find a set that you like. They usually have a list of how the chips break down in color |

Usually 2 color make up the majority of your chips for the lower denominations.
If you custom create your chip set you can have as many or as little colors as you like. Most people try to stay with the same breakdown in denominations casino's use. (i.e.- white = $1, red = $5.....etc.) |

i have a 650 chip set and these are the numbers that my set came with and the denominations we use. it's not a bad starting set for a game of about 7-10. I have since bought a 400 set with a matching case. i only got blue, black, and green with that set though, as well as some purple for a 500 dollar chip. i'm not sure what kind of game you play in, but in a tournament setting, the whites ($1) tend to not be used for very long. |
