It was only play money but still annoying, it was a 9 man $25K play chip tourney.

1st hand I get cowboys, I make a decent raise, someone raise me, etc... we're both all in eventually pre flop. he shows queens...

f**King bitch of hearts comes down on the flop.

Damn queens.

So you think it's a bad move to go all in with pocket kings? So I should have layed down to his re-re raise?

Correct me if I'm wrong (which i don't think I am) isn't this the second best hand pre flop?

I've always read you should be comfortable going all in with bullets, cowboys and to a lesser degree Aks.

Cawchy was being retarded if he was serious. It was a fine play and should be done everytime. You want it in the beginning so then you can double up fast and if u get knocked out on a bad beat well thank god it was when u first started so you didnt waste any time fighting to the bubble and having it happen there.

boondock,

thanks for the assurance, I was pretty sure I did the right play as well.

Last night in a tourney 1st hand In I got bullets..(What's your advice for me cawchy, fold to a re-raise)

I ended up doubling up in the 1st hand and won the 20 man tourney.

doggz ,

I agree totally...

I've lost KK to AA and vice versa before, but I've never regretted my decision.

If you can;t feel confident going all in with either of these hands then what hand are you waiting for pre flop, right?

Same fucking shit happened to me last night at a home game. We were down to 3, I was in second, and the chip leader busting me out by hitting his cunt.

Later in the night, I returned the favour heads-up against the chip leader of another tornament who's a stronger player and who's way ahead (these people are experienced gamblers and out of my league, but for $5 or $10, I'm willing to jump in the fire.)...I get dealt AKo and made only a modest raise pre-flop because I don't want to chase him out. He calls, and the flop comea AK?, two hearts. He goes all-in, I call. He shows a flush draw to my two pair. He hits his draw on the turn, but Kh comes up on the river to give him a worthless 6-flush and me a boat.

I have a narrow chip lead, but he gets me to even, and then I play another hand so embarrassingly badly that I blow the $60 pot.

Our home games are so loose that folding an all-in with pocket jacks would be a mistake... Laughing
