(Note: It's not really bad beat heavy, but this post will have at least one bad beat, and it describes an extremely negaive poker night. Move to Tales of Poker if it's more appropriate.)

I don't know if I ever want to see another poker hand again...

First sit-and-go of the night:

$10 buy in. A couple of strong players, but a lot of maniacs, calling stations, and other completely worthless players.

The rare playable hands I get collapse at the flop, and the one really strong hand (JJ) I get is beaten all-in when it hits it set by another guy who got a set of Kings. I'm out.

Second Sit-and-go:

$10 buy in. 40 chips each. Blinds start at 1/2. I get AKo (heart and diamond). A fairly tight and very aggressive player capable of punishing timid play raises to 12 in front of me and I re-raise to 22. He puts me all-in and I call. He also shows Ako (spade and heart). Two spades come up on the flop and he gets runner-runner spades on the river, knocking me out of the tourney in my first hand.

Third Sit-and-go:

$5 buy-in

Two hands in a row I get garbage and fold before the flop. (46s one hand, 38o the next). 46s turns into trip 4s on the flop and 4s full of 6s on the river. 38o flops 3s full of 8s for me.

Later on, I get J-8s and flop comes J-10-2 rainbow. There's betting and raising going on (all bluffing, because the players are uncreative and weak, and there was no action save limping pre-flop) and a maniac goes all in. I call, the rest of the table folds, and he shows 10-5o, a hand he should never have entered the pot with. He spikes a 5 on the turn for the win, and knocks me out of the tournament.

At another point, I'm in 2nd place enter the pot with A8s. A and 8 come up on a rainbow flop. Another player who limped keeps calling my bets with what I read as garbage, but the rest of the field folds by the turn. A 9 comes up on the river and he calls me in. I go with it, figuring I have him beat and that he was just calling me with a middle or botth pair. The fucker shows pocket 9s and reduces me to shortstack.
