Its funny how people never mention their suckouts on here (except for Ripptyde), but you can't hear the end of the bad beats that have been given to people on here.
Here's mine from today, he was really aggro, raising with any ace, not to mention i had an unusually high chip count, so don't give me crap for calling a raise with AQo haha.

I mean i could have hit my ace and it would have just been a nice normal two outer suckout...but nooo i had to hit a runner runner on him. I laughed at this one for quite a while, and then went on and got second in the sit n go. |

I don't suckout nearly as much as I get sucked out on because I don't put myself in a position to need to suck out to win.
Good cards, good plays = small(er) number of suckouts.
I do remember one suckout of mine though. I had 78s and the flop came A77. I bet and was raised so I called afraid of a higher kicker. The turn was a blank and the guy bet again and I called. River was my fourth 7. Guy had AA. THAT is a primetime suckout, one out-style. |

| I have AA on BB. A guy raises 3bb=$3 followed by 3 callers, I raise to $8, which was too little, and all 3 of them call, not good. Flop 23J I raise 2/3 of the pot, $20, others fold one guy re-raises and we start a raising war followed by AI. Turn 4, river 5 and I win with runner runner gunshot against that poor guys set with pocket JJ . |

Yeah i know me too, but you are not going to be ahead everytime you make a big bet, or go all in, and everybody sucks out occasionally. |

| I can think of maybe a few suck outs i've had in the last month. That's just not my style to chase unless it's a good draw with at least decent odds to call. |

| I've sucked out more than a few times, although I agree with the sentiment that good players suck out less than they are sucked out upon, because they rarely throw meaningful amounts of money in the pot when they are behind. My worst suckout was when I hit a set of low cards (I think it was sixes or fours) against what was, unbeknownst to me, a set of jacks. On the river I made quads for the one-outer suckout. That was awful. But I think given the way the hand went down, I still played it correctly. As is often said around here, "If you don't lose all your money there..." |

This is what i would call a good player bad beat.
I get all in preflop with pocket kings against this half buyin guy. I hit a flush, and he shows pocket kings too haha.
I'd look for the hand but i don't ahve Poker Tracker and it would be pretty hard to find it in the folder. |

Those AA-AA and KK-KK all-ins that end with a flush are ridiculous. Seriously, the most evil random events.
This past weekend at Foxwoods, I had my "best" suckout to date:
There were a few limpers and I raised from the big blind with 99. The button called.
The flop came 2-9-10 rainbow, giving me middle set. Wh00p!
I checked, he bet, I raised, he reraised all-in, and I called.
He flipped over 10-10.
The turn was a blank. I yelled, "C'mon - QUAD ME UP!"
The dealer turned over the river card and gawked in disbelief at the 9 of spades.
I've never hit my 1-outer before. It feels good. |

I'm pretty new to poker and not too familiar with the terminology. And to make things even worse, I'm swedish. |

Funny how the only suckouts you get usualyl come when you're on tilt?
$50 buy in NL tourney at party, level 4, I'm mid-stacked, trying to steal some blinds when somebody pushes back at me?!?! Well, I'm still tilty from when my K 9 in the small blind lost to an AK on a T J Q board and I lost $280...
I'm looking down at 9 10 hearts and I figure "what the hell; I'm probably a 40: 60 dog, but I've already got so many chips in here...and I'm pissed off", so I raise all in. I get two callers, one with AA, one with AK.
Flop comes three hearts and I triple up. WooohoooO! |
