Hello, fellow nerds.

I am currently running Virtual PC 7 on my Mac so that I can run the Poker skins and a bunch of other non-Mac friendly sites. I have purchased a copy of Windows XP but the problem is that I have upgraded my version of Virtual PC a few times and each time I had to reinstall Windows. Now, each time that I reinstall it asks me to register the copy of Windows, so I type in the info and everything is fine. But I guess I finally did it one too may times because it now says that my info is no good anymore. Do I need to buy a brand new copy of Windows....? i hope not. Can i just call them up and tell them what's what? Do they even have phone numbers?

Thanks for any advice.

What's the answer? I'm still on '98SE and have put off XP because of the re-install limitation. As I approach the need for a new computer, XP becomes an inevitability. So was there a work-around?

cassette, what kind of mac are you running? i run Party Poker in VPC on my iMac G4 (800 MHz) and it is slow as hell. multitabling is out of the question. i'm actually thinking of buying a winblows PC ((for the first time in my life)) just so i can play properly.

I am running a Powerbook G4 and can only play 2 tables before things get silly slow. I am also considering buying on of those devil PC's. Smile If you have the extra cash, VPC 7 is a large improvement over VPC 6. I could barely even run Party Poker on VPC6.

As far as the validation:
All I had to do was call the toll free number that was provided in the verification wizard thing. I was expecting to talk to a real person that I could explain my situation to an try my fancy social engineering skills... Cool . Turns out I didn't even have to. It was a computer lady on the other end that just asked me for my product ID and then continued to give me a new validation code. Which seems really silly because as far as I can tell this would have worked even with a pirated version....

Anyway, best of luck.
