I thought he was quite respectable.. he said at least twice that John McCain is a good man, and you could tell that he honestly meant it, but then explained that while McCain is a good man, he's either out-of-touch with the middle class or doesn't support certain programs that the dems support.
It wasn't random bashing, he went on to cite very specific stuff... e.g. He's not a maverick on ANY major issue when compared to the Bush administration. That was a well-aimed and timely response to all the "we're a group of mavericks, *wink, wink*. |

<spoonitnow> This morning my gf's dad posted a myspace bulletin about how Palin clearly won the debate last night
<spoonitnow> I enjoyed watching the debate between Sen Joe Bidin and Gov. Sarrah Palin. Gov. Palin won this debate hands down. She was precise, to the point, and new her stuff. All Sen. Bidin could do was go backwards to President Bush and his admisistration. Sen. John McCain and Gov. Palin is the right choise. Obama and Bidin will destroy this country. The musilums want to attack this country from within. They will succeed through Obama. It will not happen with McCain.
<spoonitnow> Gov. Palin did not stumble, fall, or studder. She was very professional. I know that Sen. Bidin has been in the Senate for 25 yrs, and has done a fairly good job, but even he was against Obama in the race for the nomanation. What does that tell ya. |

part of what would cause this is called the bradley effect. fortunately, the bradley effect has not gained a wide consensus since it was first postulated in the 80s, has gotten tremendous testing during the primaries, and the testing suggests that the bradley effect is in effect not an effect. there is still a lot of wiggle room and unknown tho
oh and the bradley effect is the idea that when polled, some people say they will vote for the black guy, but when in the booth they wont.
another thing that would cause this is a higher turnout from racists. well im not worried about that since white racists already vote. |
