I just got my computer back from service and for some reason I cannot connect to any poker program. I've tried CD Poker, Betsson, Pacific, VC and RedKings. None of which works, here is the example from CD Poker.
CD Poker: "Cannot contact the gaming server. Please check your internet connection and try again. You can only continue in offline mode. Sorry for the inconvenience."
What may cause this, and how do I correct it? (BTW, my internet works fine in any other way, as is evident by me being able to post here) |

| Perhaps windows or your router is blocking the ports |

I had this same problem at my old apartment. My internet would work fine however I could never connect to any poker site. I disabled my firewalls, emailed support to get port numbers, unblocked those ports, everything and nothing worked. I believe it's a case of your IP provider having those ports blocked, which I believe you would have to contact themand get them unblocked. However, I am unsure, and never got it working at my old apartment either. Luckily it works at my new apartment so....
Good luck. |
