Had a couple hands I wanted some feedback on.
Hand #1
vs a 49/18 over about 100 hands. He was very aggressive from the button, 3betting almost everytime he had the button and att. to steal was 100% (small sample though). I think this is good enough to push vs someone like this??
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (7 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)
BB ($100)
UTG ($100)
MP1 ($66.55)
MP2 ($95.70)
CO ($100.25)
Button ($114.35)
Hero ($154.25)
Preflop: Hero is SB with J , A .
2 folds, MP2 calls $1, 1 fold, Button raises to $5, Hero raises to $17, 1 fold, MP2 folds, Button raises to $29, Hero raises to $154.25
Hand #2
This guy had been very aggro/spewy over the 50 or so hands he had been at the table. stats are 53/20/8%aggr. It just didn't make sense to me that he could have a hand here, or that if he did, he would play it this way.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (9 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)
MP2 ($127.45)
MP3 ($98.45)
CO ($70.45)
Hero ($99.50)
SB ($51.80)
BB ($100)
UTG ($128.55)
UTG+1 ($35.10)
MP1 ($97)
Preflop: Hero is Button with A , 8 .
6 folds, Hero raises to $3, SB calls $2.50, BB calls $2.
Flop: ($9) J , 5 , J (3 players)
SB bets $6, BB folds, Hero raises to $17, SB raises to $30, Hero raises to $96.5
Hand #3
V is a good reg. (jrock...) 16/11/4.1%3bet. I know he's pretty aggressive, but he always seems to have it vs me. Do you ever fold this 150bb deep?
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (8 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)
CO ($105.60)
Button ($98.50)
SB ($60.40)
BB ($22.90)
Hero ($150.45)
UTG+1 ($162.65)
MP1 ($61.80)
MP2 ($97)
Preflop: Hero is UTG with K , K .
Hero raises to $4, UTG+1 raises to $14, 6 folds, Hero raises to $32, UTG+1 raises to $162.65, Hero?
Hand #4
This one was vs a 23/12, he folds his blinds 80% so I think he could have a very wide range here. I think he's cbetting here like 100% right?, and would he double barrel a flush draw or straight draw?
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (9 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)
UTG+1 ($23.65)
MP1 ($199.75)
MP2 ($134.55)
Hero ($98.50)
CO ($106.40)
Button ($56.50)
SB ($99)
BB ($100)
UTG ($61.65)
Preflop: Hero is MP3 with J , T .
4 folds, Hero raises to $3, 3 folds, BB raises to $9, Hero calls $6.
Flop: ($18.50) K , T , 3 (2 players)
BB bets $10, Hero calls $10.
Turn: ($38.50) 9 (2 players)
BB bets $21, Hero raises to $79.5 |

^what he said.
Lots of spew to be found in all the other ones. You need to pick better spots to get lots of monies in against agrros and stop trying to make them fold.
Hand4 is bad because even if he has a wide range, the board connected with that range fairly well. If you think he's full of shit then shoving over the turn is turning your hand with showdown value into a bluff, but still...fold preflop. |

I think these are all really spewy sorry
1) I would just flat preflop. 3betting w/ the intention of stacking off seems really bad
2) If you think he's FOS just flat the flop... Why are you turning A high into a bluff here?
3) Flat the 3bet unless you have recently been out of line vs. him.
4) What are you trying to fold? Why are you turning a made hand into a bluff?
In conclusion, stop turning made hands into bluffs for no apparent reason especially when the bluff in inself is only going to be marginal to at worst extremely negative EV anyway. |

I really think hand 1 is fine against this dude but I like to gambooool. Remember you're only 3betting PF if you have FE or he'll call with worse. Probably better to flat AJs here and let him spew off with worse Ax hands postflop.
Hand 2 is a spot where they never have it in 6max but always have it in FR. I agree his line doesn't make that much sense as I'd expect him to c/r Jx or 55. However, the biggest thing I would note is he's leading into 2 people and not just in a HU pot. Remember, people tend to play much more straightforward and less tricky in multiway pots.
Hand 3 I don't 4bet PF. If you want him to fold JJ/QQ/AK PF then you just took the best line possible for that goal. As played it's 150bbs, you're properly rolled, and frankly it's KK against one of the more aggro regulars at 100nl.
Hand 4 is bad both times PF, fold the first and second time around. Postflop you're in an awkward spot, I think you do have some FE, could possibly get KQ/KJ to fold, but those most likely aren't in his 3betting range. Trying to get AK to fold here seems suicidal so basically you're hoping he has air or is firing a second shell with like AhQh AhJh. |

| Ok, thanks everyone. Hands 1 and 2 were winners, 3 and 4 were losers. Hand 4 is the one I really really hated as soon as I did it. Pretty loose open, really bad call and worse bluff, so ya I agree. Hand 3 he had AA (but it really kinda surprised me he played it this way). |

| This is why I liked FR because I could actually get away with spewing all the time. |

What would be the plan post flop? This is a hand I would find myself having trouble with post. What if the flop is a complete brick, well actually I guess at that point I'd only have like $5 in the pot so c/folding would be fine?
But ya, usually I'm really not a spewmonkey, but yesterday I don't know, seemed like every single hand was contested and I was played back at a lot and I guess I did get stupid with some hands. But, that's why it was a short session and I figured I'd post some hands and try to learn from it.
Thanks again! |

I don't like any of these.
hand 1 call preflop play poker
hand 2 float the flop and call down most likely
hand 3 easy call of the 3bet preflop
hand 4 fold preflop, call flop is good, fold turn. |

1. It's Monday
2. No harm in calling a c/f'ing a flop, you would have done the same with 55 right?
3. At least you chose players with wide ranges to play back at. That tells me you're at least thinking and these plays will definitely work better against these types of players. |
