I had a thought tonight in the pub. Seeing as there is no tax on gambling winnings here in the UK, and seeing as I work for myself, I had this drunk idea.
After I finish a job for someone, I could say, "Heads, you pay double for the work", or, "Tails, you get the work for free."
If they don't want to go for the bet, then fair play, I get paid as normal. But, if they take the bet, over time, I must end up 50/50, and I could claim the tax back off the government, sort of like Rakeback.
Does anyone think the UK government would go for this idea? |

| oh also, no i don't think it'd work because the person who pays you for the work will still end up claiming that they paid you (for the first 50% at least) |
