Even though I lost these tournaments in pretty ridiculous fashion i'm happy to have made it to top 3 for the first time in my life (I started poker 2 weeks ago, and tournament poker only on wednesday) and now I got the roll to participate in the Sunday 100G so I guess I'll register for that too ^^... GL me getting near the final table in that Tourney xD

Hand 2. No. Fold to his huge over bet on the river. It's not about smelling a slowplay here, its more what do I beat on this river that raises 22k into 8k. Not much and your price screams you have to be good 50% of the time to make this call.

First hand is probably not bad. It'd help to know what types of hands he's limped in with before. Second hand is gross though. I don't know why newer players tend to assume that massive bets are bluffs, it just doesn't make sense, the better your hand is the more money you should want going into the pot.

Hand 1
He was actually raising me a lot preflop with position, I didn't know what hands he was raising me with though since I never had good enough cards to call with. He didn't seem to be a slowplayer though

I lost a lot of sleep over Hand 2 though... felt so stupid ^^, never put him on a bluff, I thought he had a K, either K alone or 2 pair so I was like OK f this

I dont like hand 1. You've got 50 big blinds, there's no reason to get it all in here. Nice preflop raise, then back off once the action gets big. I like the flop bet-reraise, just not the all in call.

I'm gonna be straight with you. Both hands are poorly played. Reasons why are made clear i think.

So dont know what you want with this post. So here some things about FT play.

Some things I (oke others to, DUH) found out about FT play is this: Nobody wants to f@ck up, so raises and bets are mostly what they are representing. People who do not play like that, play to agro so you can spot them (jaja, not ALWAYS offcourse).

Be patient, if you think he has you beat better fold, look for spots where you can take them. Even when play is really shorthanded, you still have a load of chips most of the time. also cause you have been playing the other players for some time you can read them better (and they you, so having a tight image rules).

When I dont do these things I go out somewhere between 10th and 3rd. When i do these thing its top 3 mostly win. Pacing is important on a FT as it was during the entire tourney.

Hand 1... You said the guys been raising you a lot pre-flop with position... So the limp on the button screams to me the possibility that he has a monster, especially if you've folded to many of his raises with junk hands he raised with. He didn't want to raise QQ and risk the chance that you fold again.

I like to raise pre-flop here to see were you are at... If he calls, proceed very very carefully throughout the hand, and if he only flatted pre-flop because he didn't have much, you should be able to pick up the blinds right here.
