gmml, I don't know if you've ever heard of Dr. Mort Doran, but he's a Canadian surgeon and pilot with Tourette's. I saw a TV profile on him a while back and it was amazing to watch. Can't find much on him online but there is this:

lol now that sure would be a random and hilarious tick.
nah, nothing extreme. for the most part i'm able to control it (nothing like any of the kids in that video). i blink my eyes a lot, crack my knuckles, sometimes make noises, and other random facial/body ticks every so often. when i concentrate on something it usually doesn't happen. funny thing is though it all builds up when i hold it in and have to "let it out" when i'm alone sometimes. i'm pretty much a weirdo by myself. |

yeah i think i have heard of him, just didn't know him by name. i saw a couple specialists when i was younger (like 12) and they mentioned people like him. they docs i saw basically said there was nothing they could do, and that it would probably get better later in life, which it did. it was really bad when i was 12-15 but gradually started to go fade. pretty sure it will always be there but i can live with it. the best thing about seeing those people was to learn that i wasn't just a complete nut case because i knew the things i was doing were ridiculous, but just couldn't help it. |

Tourette's must be something of a nightmare for sufferers but it's soooo fucking funny to everyone else.
Someone should hook out a link to the Keith Allen documentary where he takes a busload of kids with Tourette's to France. It's hilarious. |
