Villain hasn't been sitting long. He's reraised me twice on the 30 hands we've played but nothing has happened really. Don't recognise him from 6max or whatever.

Actually i dont like the river anyway. obviously it sucks as a bluff. value wise I dont think he has A high all that often here. The flush draw probably plays more aggressively given how you described him and I cant imagine a naked ace high is going to call you down all that often here. Also there are no hands weaker than yours that beat A high that he can have so I dont think you are getting value often. Last of all its the kind of board (drawy but most draws missed) that lots of people will check/call with TP type hands on the river so he isnt necessarily going to bluff or bet medium strength hands when you check so I dont think a blocker is necessary. Thats my thinking anyway.
Dunno about the turn though. I have a question though. What do you do if he raises? Im guessing that river bet means you have virtually no nut hands in your range? |

| Looking at this again I think I messed up the river. I made my river plan before I made my turn bet but the problem was that I only made plans for rivers where I a) made my straight and b) missed completely. Then when I hit a small part I didn't take that into account and I stuck with the the plan I had for completely missing. Let me post it again with three different rivers and explinations. |

$1/$2 No Limit Holdem

Converted at weaktight.com
Stacks:
BTN ($195.80)
Hero ($240.40)
Pre-flop: ($3, 2 players) Hero is BB
BTN raises to $6, Hero calls $4
Decen't hand, I'm OOP but I'm reasonably comfortable with playing flops with this.
Flop: ($13, 2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $7, Hero raises to $24, BTN calls $17
Seems like a difficult enough flop for him to miss. I have not information as of yet to make me think that he will play back at a c/r on this board. Just to get to Pelions post here I really don't think random 200NL players get mad aggro with FD's at this point.
Turn: ($61, 2 players)
Hero bets $42, BTN calls $42
I pick up some outs and I put his range at 8x/Jx/FD's/9T/random floats. I think I have some fold equity so I plan to b/f. At this point my plans were the following lines:
River 1: ($145, 2 players)
Hero bets $43,
To make him fold the naked FD/9T part of his range. He only has to fold a small % of the time to make this good.
River 2: ($145, 2 players)
Hero shoves,
value.
I should have had a third plan which would have been something like this:
River 3: ($145, 2 players)
Hero check/calls
Because now I have some showdown value I should give him the chance to turn the missed part of his range into bluffs. I'm pretty certain most 200NL guys aren't good enough to value shove weak jacks or TT here so that makes his river betting range bluffs and 8x. |

Yeah, I would vbet the made straight and follow ISF on the bluff.
Are we always c/c the 7 on river? I'm not sure I like that. |
